Description: The US Census Bureau collects information on many facets of American life, and all of the data is freely available to the public. The Statistics in Schools program provides lesson plans for teachers and home extension activities for families to use to explore Census Data and use statistics in every day applications. This course will provide teachers with an overview of the US Census Bureau's mission and purpose, a guided exploration of Statistics in Schools resources, and an opportunity to develop plans to use SIS materials in their classrooms. Statistics in Schools materials are available for grades K-12, and cover all core content areas.
