Instructors: Linda Self, Kim Ward-Massey, & Marvat Obeidi

Description: This course is designed to give participants an opportunity to learn about the English Language Learners Program and Services; how the ELL Plan of Service fits within the MTSS Framework; and ELL Instructional Supports within the general education classrooms. Participants will also learn to develop appropriate supports for complex EL Learners and use functional tools to support culturally-appropriate decisions for special education referrals. Participants will walk away with a broader outlook on how to better support English Language Learners and how to appropriately assess their language learning and academic abilities.
