Description: The Advanced Placement United States Government and Politics Exam requires students to complete four free-response questions (FRQs), each of which has a particular content focus and certain political science skills that must be demonstrated. In this course, current and prospective teachers of AP US Government will explore the four FRQ types and best practices in teaching students the content and skills necessary to respond to them. In addition, course participants will practice scoring FRQs using the College Board's rubrics. After completing this course, participants will be able to use all four AP US Government FRQ question formats with their students to improve learning outcomes and AP exam scores.
